  • Find teachers to be a contact with Legislators
  • Coordinate local campaign activities
  • Organize Lobby Days at the state capitol
  • Talk to local legislators about Anoka Hennepin issues
  • Screen candidates in legislative races for endorsement purposes

 

Negotiations Cadre

  • Communicate with AHEM members and with district
  • Neg. chairperson is co-chair of the Negotiations SteeringCouncil along with the AHEM Vice-President
  • Negotiations team member and attends the teacher rights meetings
  • Negotiations Cadre will serve as a conduit with district media role
  • Coordinate representation on the district insurance advisory team

  • Represent teachers at discipline meetings
  • Uphold the MN Board of Teacher Ethics
